Title Oracle DBA with Linux Admn

Looking for a Oracle DBA with strong experience supporting Linux Unix
administration. Previous experience working in Pharmaceutical domain is
a huge plus.

The successful candidate will work to administrate Oracle Database and
Linux severs along with some database developments that support the
application for the Client. The incumbent will also be working with
development team to design a plan to migrate the servers and databases
to common shared service platform.

Primary Activities
        Minimum 5 years of fulltime Oracle DBA experience including at
least 1 year experience in Oracle 10g is required.
        Provide administrative support to multiple Oracle 10g
databases and Linux servers.
        Manage database configuration and tuning; follow best practice
for database monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance.
        Monitor database server system resources to ensure the minimum
downtime of production system.
        Manage database backup/recovery process.
        Write and modify Unix/Linux shell scripts/Perl scripts to
manage oracle environment and other application processes.
        Write PL/SQL program, SQL Query and performance tuning.
        Work with team to design best strategy to migrate the
databases and servers to common shared services.
        3 to 4 years of Linux administration experience is must.
        He/she should have solid understanding of database design
principles (physical and logical) and architecture.
        Experience in PL/SQL program, SQL query and performance tuning
with Object Oriented programming would be a big plus.
        Experience in File Server (Blue Arc System) and Veritas backup
tool are plus.
        Experience in Pharmaceutical Industry a plus.
        Must have excellent written and communications skills and be
very team oriented.
